Today, I decided to jump on the scale just to see how terribly I blew it yesterday. I had a "free day" and ate so many things that I normally wouldn't have eaten like pizza (yes, it was veggie pizza but still pizza), Taco Bell, egg and cheese croissant and hash browns for breakfast....I mean, I really just splurged. However, to my surprise I've lost 2 more pounds since my weigh in on Monday! I understand that "tricking your body" by having a free day or free meal will cause your body to release some things its been storing but I never would've imagined that I would see the results I saw. Shaun T. did burn away the calories yesterday with that TotalBodyBurn afterall! Though 2 pounds may seem like a very small accomplishment, I celebrated like I'd dropped 20 pounds. I cheered,screamed, jumped up and down, ran and looked at myself in the mirror and said good job.....I went all out! And guess what, it felt so good! I enjoyed accomplishing the weight loss, but I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating myself!
Oftentimes due to fruitful schedules, assignments, tasks, errands, projects, family issues, etc. it can be so easy to brush right past small accomplishments because we're too busy to stop and celebrate even the smallest things. After my experience yesterday, I believe that when we celebrate, there is something that triggers our brain and our bodies to say...I enjoy this. I want to experience this again. I am going to do whatever it takes to feel this way again.
So, why don't you join me in celebrating everything--from not getting upset in traffic,to getting to work on time, to being excited about having shelter, food, transportation, and everything in between. I assure you that when you begin to celebrate all the detals of life, you will find that you'll have more things to celebrate than you ever imagined.

I Must Become What I Desire To Attract
This post is for those that really want to live a life with REAL RESULTS!! This is not for people that want to talk a big talk, but refuse to make the necessary adjustments to see change. So, for the mature and eager to see and be something/someone different here goes:
I must be willing to become what I desire to attract. Let's just be honest what is the likelihood that I will really attract a man in tip- top shape with high standards about physical fitness if I'm overwight and sloppy?! Is it realistic that I'll attract a man of wealth that appreciates money and manages it well if I don't even balance my checkbook?!
On the surface it may seem like because opposites attract(or so we've been told) that it is very possible to attract a mate that currently operates at a much higher level than we currently do in many areas. However, the truth is that we attract who we are. In order to attract a thing I must become who I desire to attract. Birds of a feather REALLY do flock together and like really does attract like.
So, what does all this mean? It means that it is no longer acceptable for us to expect to attract a mate that is something that we ourselves are not willing to become.
For example, because of the caliber of man that Stratford is, these are key areas that I have committed to perfecting over the next year:
1.Weight control/weight Management/Healthy Living
2. Organization of home/vehicle
3. Time Management
4. Money Management
5. Dressing for where I'm going, not for where I am.
6. Environmental consciousness
I'm taking the first step by saying its unfair for me to expect Stratford to be sharp in these areas if I'm not even willing to come to the plate and incorporate simple systems into my own life now to manage these things.
I'm asking for your help!! Help keep me accountable in these areas and I'll continue to share my journey(ups and downs) and I tackle each of these areas over the next year!
